Your day begins at Cristo Rei, one of Madeira’s most iconic coastal landmarks. Standing high above the Atlantic, this viewpoint offers sweeping views over the Garajau coastline, with the statue overlooking the ocean and the cliffs dropping steeply below. It’s the perfect place to take in the scale and beauty of the island and capture stunning photos.

We then climb high into the mountains to reach Pico do Arieiro, Madeira’s third-highest peak at over 1,800 metres above sea level. Here, you’ll find yourself surrounded by dramatic rock formations and endless views that often sit above the clouds. You’ll have time to walk around, explore freely, and experience one of the most breathtaking locations on the island.

Descending into the island’s lush interior, we stop at Ribeiro Frio, set within the UNESCO-listed Laurissilva forest. Surrounded by dense greenery and fresh mountain air, this peaceful stop is ideal for relaxing with a coffee and enjoying the natural atmosphere.

The experience then shifts as we leave the main roads behind and head off-road into remote and untouched terrain. This thrilling 4×4 section takes you deep into Madeira’s wild side, far from the usual routes, where you’ll also stop at a hidden waterfall tucked away in nature—a quiet and refreshing moment in complete tranquillity.

From nature to tradition, we continue to Santana, known for its charming triangular thatched houses. You’ll have free time to explore the village, take photos, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant while experiencing authentic Madeiran flavours.

In the afternoon, we visit the spectacular Miradouro do Guindaste. Perched on the edge of towering cliffs, this viewpoint features a glass platform where you can look out over the vast Atlantic Ocean and the rugged north coast—an unforgettable and dramatic highlight.

We then head to Engenhos do Norte, a historic rum distillery that reflects Madeira’s long-standing sugarcane tradition. Here, you’ll discover how the island’s famous rum is produced and have the opportunity to taste locally crafted spirits.

To end the day, we explore the extraordinary Ponta de São Lourenço. This unique peninsula, shaped by volcanic forces, is known for its raw, windswept beauty, with striking cliffs, earthy tones, and endless ocean views. It’s the perfect final stop to take in one last moment of Madeira’s untamed landscape.
